Gai Wan Ash Glaze | Dehua

The gaiwan is one of China’s most traditional tea vessels. Originally used simply for drinking tea, it gradually evolved during the Ming and Qing dynasties into a practical alternative to the teapot for loose-leaf brewing. Today, it remains the most widely used vessel in Gongfu tea preparation and an essential part of Chinese tea culture.
