Oriental Beauty is also known as “Champagne Oolong,” a name that reflects its elegance and aromatic complexity. The tea’s distinctive flavor comes from a unique balance between human craftsmanship and nature: during cultivation, small leafhoppers feed on the tea leaves, triggering the plant to release protective compounds that later develop into honeyed, fruity aromas during oxidation. Traditionally, this process makes Oriental Beauty one of the most labor-intensive and expensive oolong styles.
