Pink Knight Dan Cong | oolong tea
This Dan Cong oolong offers a profile unlike traditional Phoenix teas. The liquor shows a soft, low-saturation pink tone, with an aroma that blends delicate orchid florals, gentle musk, and a refined sweetness. The taste is smooth and calm, without sharp bitterness or aggressive roast notes, unfolding slowly with a lingering floral finish and a quietly expressive character.
To preserve the tea’s unique aromatic compounds—especially anthocyanins—the producer deliberately extends the kill-green stage and applies a low-temperature, long-duration roasting process, with total roasting time exceeding 30 hours. Much of this work is done overnight, requiring constant attention and adjustment. The result is a tea that departs from the typical high-aroma, sharp-edged Dan Cong style, instead expressing elegance, restraint, and depth.
This tea comes from a garden located in Wuzhi Mountain, where acidic soil, abundant rainfall, and natural mountain drainage create ideal conditions for slow, healthy growth. The tea trees are allowed to grow naturally without pesticides, developing deep root systems and rich internal substances.
It represents a thoughtful reinterpretation of Phoenix Dan Cong, and is one of the teas we most strongly recommend.
